Sage Processing is a Native American owned business operated by Wakpamni Lake Community Corporation an Oglala Sioux Tribe of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, a federally recognized and sovereign nation located in the United States. Sage Processing abides by all applicable federal laws and regulations and tribal law as established by the Oglala Sioux Tribe of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
We specialize in servicing voluntary and revocable assignment of earnings authorized by borrowers in accordance with applicable federal and tribal laws.
The notice of demand on a wage assignment is executed by the consumer ("Employee") provided from the Creditor. Under the Wage Assignment, the employer is authorized and instructed to deduct amounts from the Employee's wages in accordance with the Wage Assignment, the Demand, and applicable law.
Wage assignments and wage garnishments differ in many ways. In fact, a wage assignment is not a garnishment. A wage assignment is a voluntary agreement between the employee and creditor where an amount is withheld from the employee's paycheck to satisfy a debt owed to the creditor, whereas under a wage garnishment, the amount withheld from the employee's check is typically obtained through a court order initiated by the creditor.
Sage Processing is a Tribal licensed business and a subsidiary agency of Wakpamni Lake Community Corporation, which was created and exists as an arm and subdivision of the Oglala Sioux Tribe of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation (The “Tribe”), a federally recognized and sovereign Indian Tribe. The principal place of business and office of Sage Processing is at #1 Wakpamni Lake Housing, Batesland, South Dakota 57716, which is located on the Oglala Sioux Reservation. Sage Processing conducts wage assignment services in accordance with applicable Federal law including the FTC’s “Credit Practice Act” and Tribal Laws. Sage Processing is not subject to State Law due to their Federally Recognized Tribal status pursuant to Indian Reorganization Act (IRA) of 1934 (25 U.S.C. 461 et seq.)
Sage Processing is fully regulated by, and in compliance with, the consumer laws of the Oglala Sioux Tribe law.
